Description

Sensepoint The flammable detector is available in either % LEL or PPM detection range versions and provides an industry standard mV bridge output. Typical life expectancy is greater than 5 years, after which the detector is simply replaced with a new one. The toxic detectors are supplied pre calibrated for easy installation and provide an industry standard 2 wire 4-20mA loop output. User connections are Ex d, while front end Intrinsic Safety (IS) design allows for easy exchange of the replaceable sensor while powered. IS design also removes the need for a sinter enabling very fast speed of response and detection of ‘sticky’ gases such as Chlorine and Ammonia. Sensepoint has proven its suitability across a wide range of demanding applications by delivering high performance and reliability at an affordable cost. Sensepoint with junction box This low cost Sensepoint come complete with a pre-wired junction box to allow for rapid installation. The housing is supplied with an earth continuity plate for increased resistance to the effects of RFI, the junction box offers the installer a choice of Â½, Â¾ and M20 connection via conduit or armoured cable and Ex e certified cable glands. Terminals are suitable for use with screened 0.5mm2 (20AWG) to 2.5mm2 (14AWG) cross sectional area cable, as needed to ensure minimum operating voltage at the detector, depending upon installed cable length. Sensepoint (HT) High Temperature Flammable Where applications require a flammable sensor that provides reliable and stable detection allowing low level alarm settings across a wide temperature range. Utilizing a specially matched pair of Honeywell poison resistant combustible gas detection elements, the Sensepoint High Temperature Sensor has a very stable baseline allowing alarm trip points to be set as low as 5% LEL across a temperature range of -55 degrees Celsius to +150 degrees Celsius (-67 degrees Fahrenheit to +302 degrees Fahrenheit). The gas measuring range can be configured from 0-20% LEL up to 0-100% LEL depending on the type of controller used. The detector elements are housed in an explosion proof assembly, and provide an industry standard 3 wire mV bridge output which can be connected to a suitable control device or converted to an analogue output signal via a field transmitter.
