What is an O2 Clip used for?
An O2 monitor or O2 gas detector is an essential piece of safety equipment used to detect the concentration of Oxygen in the air. These gases are colourless and toxic and need to be constantly monitored to protect workers from being exposed to them in unsafe levels.

A daily self-test also eliminates the need for time-consuming manual testing making it simple to know when the detector is not working. How does an O2 Clip work?
An O2 monitor uses an electrochemical sensor to detect concentrations of Oxygen and other gases in extremely low amounts, measured in parts per million. This BW gas detector is very robust due to its concussion-proof, bright yellow, and water-resistant housing. Despite these features, the Clip is still light in weight and compact – ideal for clipping onto your clothing. When should an O2 Clip be used?
BW O2 Clips are most commonly used in confined spaces. Confined spaces pose potential health and safety risks to life due to lack of oxygen, exposure to toxic gases, the design and construction, characteristics of the material or substance within, and lastly the type of work activities envisaged. They will operate in temperatures housing ranging from -20 degrees – 50 degrees Celcius and humidity levels of 5% – 95% RH.
Where should I wear my O2 Clip?
The BW Clip O2 monitor can clip anywhere onto your uniform but it is important that it is in your breathing zone.
